"TORSO" a figurative study of photography from Michael Koehler opens Friday night September 3rd from 7-10pm. Known for his timeless portraiture and picturesque landscapes, he now turns his camera to the female torso.  Michael Koehler is committed to a traditional approach to photography, using film cameras, standard lens and printing in the darkroom, both color & black & white. Through this approach he keeps a realness to his work.  "I really like the art of surprise when you get the film & contacts back and you nailed the shot.... or a mistake in exposure or composition turns out to look amazing. Andrew Jacob exhibit opens Friday night September 17th through September 26th. Andrew is a local and world wide surfer, painter and film maker. For some further looks check out his site Soul Kontroll. Andrew also shows his work with the Montanaro Gallery and is co kreator of the Living Walls Gallery in Wellfleet.
MATES LEATHER PROJECT: photography by Dana Dunham

Mates Leather Project is an artistic documentary of the private lives of the gay leather culture called, "Mates". Photographed over the coarse of several months, Dana photographed the magic and mystery surrounding these 'behind doors' sex acts of the gay community's deepest regions. Photographed using 35mm black and white high speed film, allowed Dana to capture intimate moments with high contrast and painterly film grain. Using slow shutter speeds and soft focus, he has been able to capture a provocative society in a very artistic light. It has only been with the total trust of those he photographs, gaining access into the lives of these private moments, which has made this possible. These sex acts are 'real' and are presented to you, to judge for yourself, the beauty of human nature. Dana Dunham is a graduate student at the Fine Art Work Center in Provincetown for Photography.
